She may be small, but she sure is mighty! In the litter, she was not afraid to get stuck in tugging and play fighting with her siblings. A cheeky, loveable personality in a beautiful tiny package. She is a confident, outgoing pup with a streak of independence, curiosity and a sense of adventure yet still so cuddly and affectionate (she would live inside your skin if she could!). Flair settled straight into our family, exploring the world and taking everything in her stride. She comes to work with me every day and simply has the best time doing so. She is super bright, friendly, highly driven, speedy, agile and all around perfect.
Flair is slight in frame with an athletic figure, perfectly pricked alert ears and light weight medium coat to match. She is very petite compared to our other dogs and has very dainty features which just make her all the more beautiful. She is everything I hoped for and more when I set out looking for my next pup.

In agility, Flair is fast, flexible and fun! Her movements are smooth and fluid with a natural beautiful jumping style. She collects well into tight turns and powers out for jumping in extension. She is not sensitive or worried if she gets something wrong and doesn't resent being asked to repeat/correct a mistake. She has a huge desire to work and will to please but watches other dogs calmly waiting for her turn (not a crazy screaming collie!) and she has the best off-switch, settling instantly after work.
She extends nicely over the A Frame to give deep hits, she is pushy on the seesaw and learning to swim through the weaves. She is the first dog I have trained with a running dog walk and we are both loving it!

Flair currently competes in Grade 4 at intermediate height.

Flair has also started her sheepdog training and is looking very promising. She is very keen and has a lot of eye. She is kind with the sheep but not afraid to get in tight spaces to move them along. Her sheepdog training has taken a bit of a temporary backseat to agility for the summer season and we hope to pick it up again properly in Autumn.

Here is Flair's 3 generation pedigree, taken from the Anadune website (my favourite place to stalk various collie lines!).
Flair's pedigree contains a number of incredibly talented dogs, including Derwen Doug, Tanhill Glen, R Hutchinson's Sweep, Wenndale Roy, K Evans' Jaff (both), R Games' Roy, Penybryn Sweep, etc.

I was lucky enough to closely follow Flair's journey from Nessa's pregnancy to being involved in the litter's socialisation and photographing the cute little beans. I hope to stay in good contact with her breeder, parents and siblings for the future.
Her parents are both working/trials dogs. Her mother, Nessa, is a strong-willed, pushy and determined worker with a super sweet nature and kind, calm manner away from sheep. Her father, Rebel, is the type of dog that dreams are made of - sharp, immensely responsive and addictive to work with the most beautiful, friendly temperament. Both have great off-switches. Meeting both parents (and some extended family members), lengthy conversations with the breeder, being honoured to have a go working Rebel myself, as well as the many many hours of research into their health/pedigrees and discussions with people owning dogs from similar lines, made me sure this litter was right for me. The kennel name is pronounced "come-huf-rid" (bring on the amusing attempts of those reading out her name over the agility show tannoy!).
